Word to PDF
Convert a Word document to PDF in your browser.
Add a Word document to convert it
Choose or drop a .docx file, pick a page size, then Convert to PDF. The document is read and rendered in your browser — it never leaves your device — and the finished PDF appears here to download.
Runs entirely in your browserEnjoying this tool?
UsefulTab is free, with no sign-up and no limits. If it saved you some time, you can treat me to something small from my wishlist — totally optional.
Convert Word to PDF locally
WordToPDF turns a Microsoft Word .docx document into a PDF entirely in your browser. The document is read and rendered on your own device — nothing is uploaded — so confidential letters, contracts, and CVs stay private. Choose an A4 or Letter page size, convert, and download the PDF. Headings, bold and italic text, lists, tables, and images from the Word file are preserved in the layout the converter produces. Note: this reads the modern .docx format (Word 2007 and later). Very complex layouts may reflow, and the older binary .doc format is not supported — open a .doc in Word once and re-save it as .docx first.
Common questions
Is my Word document uploaded anywhere?
No. The .docx is read, converted, and rendered to PDF entirely in your browser using in-page libraries. Nothing is sent to a server, so the document never leaves your device and the tool works offline once loaded.
Which Word formats are supported?
The modern .docx format (Word 2007 and newer). The older binary .doc format is not supported — open it in Word or a compatible editor and save it as .docx first, then convert.
Will my formatting be preserved exactly?
Headings, bold/italic, lists, tables, links, and embedded images are preserved. Because the PDF is rendered from the document's content rather than copied page-for-page from Word, very complex layouts, exact pagination, and unusual fonts may differ slightly.
Can I choose the page size?
Yes. Pick A4 or US Letter before converting. The content flows onto pages of that size with a standard margin, and multi-page documents are paginated automatically.
Is there a file-size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but the document is held in memory and rendered on your device, so very large or image-heavy files use more RAM and take longer, especially on phones or older machines.
