Generate a calendar event, locally

Enter an event title, date, start and end time, time zone, location, and description, and get an .ics file to download plus ready-made “Add to Google Calendar” and “Add to Outlook” links you can paste into a newsletter or invitation. Times are interpreted in the zone you choose and written as unambiguous UTC in the .ics, so attendees in any zone see the right time. Everything is built in your browser — your event details are never uploaded.

Common questions

What is an .ics file?

An .ics file is the standard iCalendar format every calendar app understands — Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and others. Opening or importing it adds the event. It is ideal for attaching to an email invitation so recipients can add the event in one click.

What are the Add to Calendar links for?

They are URLs that pre-fill a new event in Google Calendar or Outlook on the web. Paste them as buttons or links in a newsletter, event page, or email so readers can add the event without downloading a file.

How is the time zone handled?

You enter the start and end as wall-clock times in the zone you pick. The tool converts them to an absolute UTC instant and writes that into the .ics and the Google link (which also carries the zone), so everyone sees the event at the correct local time wherever they are.

Can I make an all-day event?

Yes. Tick “All day” and the event is written as a date-only entry spanning the day you choose, which is how calendars represent all-day events.

Are my event details uploaded anywhere?

No. The .ics file and the calendar links are generated entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server — the Add to Calendar links only open the respective calendar site when the recipient clicks them.
