Common questions
Is PNG lossless?
Yes. PNG stores every pixel exactly, so converting WebP to PNG does not add any new compression loss. If the original WebP was saved with lossy compression, those earlier losses remain — the PNG just preserves the WebP as it is now.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. WebP's alpha channel is carried through to the PNG, so transparent areas stay transparent.
Can I convert several at once?
Yes. Add as many WebP files as you like, click Convert, and download them one by one or all at once. Each is converted independently in your browser.
Is there a file-size limit?
There is no fixed limit — nothing is uploaded, so the only cap is your device's memory. PNG is uncompressed-friendly, so a large image can produce a noticeably bigger PNG than the WebP.
