List Converter
Turn a column of lines into a clean, joined list.
Paste a column of lines to build a list
Drop in one item per line, then trim, dedupe, sort, quote, or add a prefix/suffix and pick a separator. The joined output updates live — all in your browser.

Turn lines into a joined list, locally
Paste a column of values — one per line, like a copied spreadsheet column — and this tool turns it into a single joined list. Trim surrounding spaces, drop blank lines, remove duplicates, sort or reverse the order, and add a prefix or suffix to every item. Wrap each item in single or double quotes to build a SQL IN(...) list in seconds, with embedded quotes safely doubled. Then choose how the items are joined — comma, comma and space, newline, space, semicolon, or pipe. The output updates live as you type and toggle options, and you can copy it with one click. Everything runs in your browser, so the values you paste are never uploaded.
Common questions
How do I build a SQL IN(...) list?
Paste the values one per line, turn on Dedupe if you like, set Quote to single quotes, and set the join to comma-and-space. You get 'a', 'b', 'c' ready to drop inside IN(...). Any apostrophe inside a value is doubled so the SQL stays valid.
What order are the transforms applied in?
Trim first, then drop empty lines, then dedupe, then sort, then reverse, then the per-line prefix/suffix and quoting, and finally the join. That order means trimming happens before duplicates are detected, so ' a ' and 'a' collapse together.
How are items joined?
You choose: comma, comma and space, newline, space, semicolon, or pipe. Newline is handy for turning a messy paste into a clean one-per-line list after trimming and deduping.
Does quoting escape existing quotes?
Yes. Single-quote mode doubles any single quote inside an item and double-quote mode doubles any double quote, matching how SQL and CSV expect quotes to be escaped, so the output stays valid.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. The list is transformed entirely in your browser tab as you type. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline and the values you paste stay private.
