Common questions
How do I select the crop area?
Click and drag on the image to draw a selection box. Drag again to start a new selection. The box's size in real image pixels is shown as you drag.
Can I lock the aspect ratio?
Yes. Pick 1:1, 4:3, or 16:9 to constrain the selection to that shape, or leave it Free to crop to any rectangle.
Does cropping lose quality?
No. The crop is taken from the image at its full native resolution — the on-screen preview may be scaled down to fit, but the exported crop uses the true pixels, so there is no upscaling or quality loss beyond your chosen output format.
PNG or JPEG?
PNG is lossless and keeps transparency — best for graphics and screenshots. JPEG is smaller for photos. Pick whichever suits your image before downloading.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is drawn to a canvas and cropped in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline and keeps your image private.
