Wi-Fi QR Card Generator
A printable Wi-Fi QR card guests can scan.
Enter your network to make a card
Type your Wi-Fi name and password and a scannable guest card appears here, ready to print or download. Everything is encoded in your browser — your password never leaves it.
Runs entirely in your browserMake a printable Wi-Fi QR card, locally
Enter your network name, password, and security type, and the generator builds a standards-compliant Wi-Fi QR code (the WIFI:S:…;T:…;P:…;; format phones recognise) laid out on a clean guest card. Guests point their camera at it and tap to join — no spelling out a long password. Add a title and the network name shows on the card, then print it or save it as a PNG to frame for a home, office, café, or Airbnb. The QR code is generated in your browser, so your Wi-Fi password is never uploaded anywhere.
Common questions
How do guests use the card?
They open their phone camera (or a QR scanner) and point it at the code. Modern iPhone and Android cameras recognise the Wi-Fi format and show a “Join network” prompt — one tap connects them, with no password typed.
Which security type should I pick?
Almost all modern networks use WPA/WPA2/WPA3 — choose WPA. Pick WEP only for very old equipment, or “None” for an open network with no password. The type must match your router's setting or the scan-to-connect will fail.
Does it work for a hidden network?
Yes. Tick “Hidden network” and the QR code includes the hidden flag so phones still connect. For a visible network leave it unticked.
Can I print it or save an image?
Both. Use Print for a clean card sized to the page (the controls are hidden automatically when printing), or download a high-resolution PNG to frame, laminate, or drop into a sign design.
Is my Wi-Fi password uploaded anywhere?
No. The QR code is encoded entirely in your browser with a built-in encoder. Your network name and password are never sent to a server, so the card is safe to generate even for a private home network.
