How to convert MB to GB
This converter uses binary units, where 1 GB = 1024 MB, so divide megabytes by 1024 to get gigabytes. For example, 2048 MB ÷ 1024 = 2 GB. Windows and most memory specs count this way. Drive makers and macOS use decimal units (1 GB = 1000 MB), so the same size can look slightly different there.
