How to convert square feet to square meters
One square foot is exactly 0.09290304 square meters (metres), so multiply square feet by 0.092903 to get m². For example, 1,000 ft² × 0.092903 = 92.9 m². A rough shortcut is to divide by 10.8. Note that you cannot convert areas with the length factor: a foot is 0.3048 m, but a square foot is 0.3048² m².
